Last week I did something a bit out of the norm for me. I got on a plane (carry-on luggage only) with a laptop, wacom tablet, camera and three lenses and flew to LA to, well, follow a dream, otherwise know at the Feet First Sessions.
It is a bit troubling to realize following a dream is the most “out of the norm” thing in my life at the moment. Let’s be honest, mostly it’s just a wee bit sad. But, in a moment that totally went against my type-a, list-making personality…I took a flying leap off the cliff.
And I couldn’t be happier that I did.
Eventually there will be a million and one photos up showing the billion and one skills that I learned from the most amazing and creative people I have ever met (Jesse & Whitney Chamberlin, Max & Margaux Wagner, Bri Emery and Angela Kohler). I didn’t really want to come back to real life in the District. But…I think maybe real life may just become full-time creative, or at least it will if my type-a, list-making self has anything to say about it.
